Corporate Support

It is thought that approximately 1 in 100 people have a form of autism, which means many of you staff, customers and clients are likely to either be on the autistic spectrum themselves, have a child or family member with an autistic spectrum disorder or know someone who has.  That makes The National Autistic Society Guernsey Branch a local charity that is meaningful and worthwhile supporting in order to not only raise funds to help us with various projects, but to also raise awareness and acceptance of autism within your organisation and our community.

By supporting us on a corporate level, the benefits to your company include:

* Improved company image - research has demonstrated the tangible benefits that a charity partnership can have on corporate and brand image.

*  Corporate responsibility - A charity partnership can demonstrate corporate responsibility and differentiates your company from the competition

*  A focus for publicity -  We are always keen to generate media coverage and joint initiatives from corporate supporters can increase this. Frequent publicity from a charity perspective can be highly beneficial to your company.

*  A boost to team morale - a fundraising programme is a fantastic team building tool that can bring staff together and help improve internal relationships and communication.

*  By contact with us you can increase staff awareness of our charity and what we do and make your workplace a more autism-friendly and supportive environment.

How can you help?

* Make NAS Guernsey your named charity of the year

* Encourage employees to make a last hour of the year payroll donation

* Hold individual or multiple staff dress down/mufti days

* Charity beneficiary - why not choose us to raise funds for at your next hospitality event?

* In house fundraising e,g. raffle/tombola- provide a top prize, ask employees to donate smaller items then sell tickets within the company

* Sponsor employees to complete an active challenge - bungee jumping, marathon running, cycling, trekking and anything else innovative and creative you can think of!

* Hold NAS fundraising initiatives within your workplace - nationally the NAS runs FestiviTea parties in December, a Thomas the Tank Engine Train Walk scheme over the summer months and other seasonal ideas.

* Support us with our own events by donating raffle prizes, providing free advertising, equipment hire etc.

* Donation boxes - we can provide branded collecting tins which are ideal for reception desks or retail outlets

* Release employees to donate their time to help us with events - in particular social events for children during school holidays require a lot of volunteer time which can be hard to source. Could anyone in your company be paid to give a day to help us?

* Sell our NAS Christmas Cards to staff and customers or give a donation in place of sending corporate cards

* Financial donation - we always have a list of forthcoming and future projects that require financing, so whether you can fund all or part of a project your money will always be put to good use locally.

As we are a local branch of the UK parent charity The National Autistic Society we are able to liaise with them and their extensive fundraising team for support and relevant promotional and informative materials.

Please contact us via email ( info@nasguernsey.com ) or phone (Catherine Hall, Branch Officer, 246025) if you would like to discuss any future fundraising ideas with us.
