Communicate is a local charity which seeks to assist in finding worthwhile employment for young people with mild communication disorders.
The charity also runs a youth club for teenagers and young adults aged 14+ on Tuesday evenings at Brock Road Youth Centre. For more information please contact Sarah Bamford
Communicate operates a charity shop on the Bridge in the former Bridge Motor Shop premises and is open between 10am and 4pm Monday to Saturday. The shop's main aim is to provide a real-life employment experience for young people with communicate disorders which can act as a training ground before permanant employment is found.
It sells furniture, brick-a-brac, books, clothes, CD's DVD's and video games and toys.
Good quality items (excluding electrical items) can be dropped off at the shop during opening times.
