We are a local branch of the National Autistic Society which champions the rights and interests of all people with
autism in the Bailiwick of Guernsey. We aim to provide help and support which can make a positive difference to the lives of individuals with autism and their families. Our committee of volunteers are mainly parents of children with autism, and so have a wealth of experience and knowledge which informs all of our branch activities.
Our website includes information about autism and Asperger Syndrome, local services and support in Guernsey, activities and events run by the branch and other useful resources.
We hope that whether you are a parent of a child or an individual who has been diagnosed with an autistic
spectrum disorder, or are a professional working with people with autism, you will find the information and
support on this site helpful. Likewise, if you feel that that it may be possible that some of
the difficulties you or someone else faces could be due to an undiagnosed autistic spectrum condition then there are parts of this site that could provide you with useful information and points of contact. We welcome anyone for whom our branch may be a useful and helpful resource.
The National Autistic Society Guernsey Branch are pleased to have begun working closely with the new local charity Autism Guernsey which launched in April 2013.
Like all charities, we are always looking for additional support to facilitate what we do and enable our volunteers to achieve more, so whether you are in the position to offer financial assistance, or can give a few hours of your time on a regular or occassional basis, then we would be extremely grateful to hear from you.
The National Autistic Society is registered as a charity in England and Wales (269425)
